Dr Alice Whang leverages her extensive clinical experience in dentistry to lead product portfolio strategy and end-to-end product innovation, from ideation to commercialisation, ensuring that Medit's solutions meet the evolving needs of dental professionals worldwide.

Her role involves developing and executing a cohesive vision and strategy for Medit’s product lines (hardware, software, education, service, and partnerships) in close collaboration with upstream counterparts, commercial teams, and relevant business stakeholders to ensure winning market propositions.

Dr Alice Whang serves as the clinical specialist within the team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, specifications, and enhancements. She advocates for features and functionalities that address the unique challenges of the industry.

2021 - 2024

Educator, RipeGlobal PTY LTD

Dr Alice Whang served as a lead educator for the Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry and the Fellowship in Modern Implantology with students worldwide.

Dr. Whang lectured on restorative dentistry, veneers, digital dentistry, and implantology. She conducted live simulation sessions, providing feedback and post-course mentoring for students dealing with clinical cases and challenges in their private practices. Her recorded clinical procedures have garnered attention from a global audience of dental professionals. 

Key Achievements:     

• Delivered 12 lectures and created 182 educational posts with 386K+ reach on social media.
• Taught 48 virtual and live simulation trainings.
• Educated 250 students in the fellowships. Dr Alice Whang's lectures were viewed by 63,000 learning professionals on the platform.

Dr Alice Whang provided expert advice to a healthcare client in the product development phase, successfully integrating clinical experience and data-backed justifications to address critical workflow challenges in digital dentistry.

Dr Whang volunteers her time to mentor a dental student in her graduate year. She provides academic support, clinical guidance and coaches her mentee through her career development.

As a senior dentist at a boutique-style dental clinic, Dr Whang practised general dentistry encompassing digital smile design, direct and indirect restorations, full mouth rehabilitations, clear aligners and pain management using custom splints and Botox™️.
 

She has experience in performing treatments under IV sedation (with the anaesthesiologist on site) and nitrous oxide.
